The Verkhovna Rada is ready for any development, in particular to consider issues related to the introduction of special states in Ukraine. This was stated by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk at a briefing on Monday.
The speaker was asked what are the criteria for considering the introduction of a state of emergency or martial law in Ukraine.
"We all know the situation that is happening in the Russian Federation, and at the same time I would like to draw your attention to the fact that during this period a large amount of fake information is replicated. Therefore, we will expect only official information that will come from there, but, once again, I repeat, we are ready for any development of events, including those issues you asked about - issues related to the introduction of special states in Ukraine," Stefanchuk said.
According to him, the procedure for these special states is clearly spelled out in the legislation of Ukraine.
"You know that this must be preceded by a decree of the President of Ukraine, which will be considered and approved in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," Stefanchuk added.
