The US presidential administration has said that Russia has increased its military presence on the border with Ukraine by 7,000 troops. This was reported by ABC News.

The number estimate was made the day after Russia said it had begun to withdraw.

"Russia has increased its presence along the Ukrainian border by as many as 7,000 troops in the last few days, with some of them arriving on Wednesday," a senior official said.

Recall that Britain's head of military intelligence, Gen. Jim Hockenhall, said that Russia continues to increase its military presence along the border with Ukraine.
