During the last 24 hours, some partners decided to support the economy of Ukraine by almost 2 billion dollars. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
"The next element of the containment strategy. A very positive signal for the economic and financial stability of Ukraine is the decision of a number of partners to allocate additional large-scale assistance for the economy of Ukraine. Literally in recent days decisions have been made for almost $2 billion," Kuleba said.
According to the minister, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, following talks with President Zelenskyy, announced the allocation of 150m euros. After talks between the president and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over the weekend, Canada decided to provide Ukraine with an additional 400 million dollars, the diplomat said.
He also recalled that the U.S. announced today the allocation of macrofinancial support to Ukraine in the amount of $ 1 billion.
