When Russia withdraws all of its troops from the Ukrainian border and from the temporarily occupied territories, only then will Ukraine be able to talk about de-escalation of the situation. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at a briefing on Monday, reports UNN.
"When it comes to de-escalation, we need a sustainable withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine and from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. A one-time withdrawal does not mean de-escalation. We need everything that has accumulated around our border over the last year to be steadily withdrawn. This would be a clear signal of de-escalation," Kuleba said.
The foreign minister also noted what Ukraine considers "red lines": "One of the red lines that I can publicly comment on is no concessions on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, which means that Donbass and Crimea are Ukraine. The second is no direct dialogue with the so-called 'Donetsk and Luhansk republics.
