Poland will provide Ukraine with portable anti-aircraft missile systems

The Polish government has approved the supply of Perun MANPADS to the Ukrainian armed forces, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said in a tweet 

"Good news. At my request, the Council of Ministers passed a resolution on assistance to Ukraine. We will provide the most modern Polish equipment - Piorun portable anti-aircraft missile systems and ammunition for them," writes Mariusz Blaszczak.

As confirmed by the Rzeczpospolita daily, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Kiev on Tuesday, February 1, that Poland was ready to transfer not only tens of thousands of missiles and artillery ammunition to Ukraine, but also Grom air defense missile systems, light mortars and reconnaissance drones.

"All of Europe and the entire Western world must unite for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity," the prime minister explained after a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmygal.

Moravetsky also met, among others, with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In an interview with Rzeczpospolita, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said: "There is no doubt that Poland is doing everything possible to support Ukraine in the current circumstances.
