The amount transferred home by Ukrainian migrant workers was a record in 2021, exceeding the 2020 figure by a quarter, reports Korrespondent.
In December 2021, the volume of private transfers to Ukraine from abroad amounted to 1.343 billion dollars - 12.6% more than in 2020 (1.193 billion dollars).
In total, in January-December 2021, Ukraine received 15.026 billion dollars, which is 25.4% more than a year earlier (11.980 billion dollars).
The National Bank took into account in the statistics both official and unofficial channels of inflows to Ukraine. In January-December 2021, $6.890 billion was transferred to Ukraine through informal channels, which is $2.319 billion more than during the same period last year ($4.571 billion).
