Putin and Macron discuss Ukraine again

Presidents of France and the Russian Federation Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin held the second telephone conversation in a week. This was reported by the press service of Russian President Vladimir Putin's website. It is noted that the parties raised the issue of the situation around Ukraine and the so-called "security guarantees" from the Russian Federation.

"It was agreed on further contacts by phone, as well as on the operative elaboration of the possibility of holding a personal meeting of the presidents of Russia and France," the press service of the Russian president wrote.

Macron and Putin have already held telephone talks on January 28. They talked about the de-escalation of the situation around the Ukrainian borders. After the talks with Putin, the French head of state called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
