Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has promised that Moscow will soon disclose the content of Western responses on so-called "security guarantees." According to him, there is no guarantee of NATO non-expansion in these responses.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing TASS.
In particular, Lavrov noted that the content of U.S. and NATO responses on "security guarantees" will become known to the general public in the very near future.
"The U.S. responses on security guarantees allow us to count on the beginning of a serious conversation, but on secondary topics," the Russian foreign minister clarified.
As a reminder, the day before the U.S. and NATO sent their written responses to Russia's demands for "security guarantees." At the moment it is known that Moscow was definitely denied guarantees of non-expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance.
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Washington would not disclose the contents of the answers. But he noted the West's readiness to resume arms control and make additional agreements to that effect.
