Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine continues to coordinate with the West on measures to deter Russia from further aggression. And noted that "while diplomats talk, cannons are silent," RBC-Ukraine quoted the head of Ukrainian diplomacy as saying.
"We continue close coordination with our allies and partners both in the context of consolidated counteraggression and in light of the preparation of U.S. and NATO responses to Russian ultimatums...It is important that diplomatic track contact with Russia continues to work. While diplomats talk, guns are silent," Kuleba said.
According to him, it was possible to capture the principle of "no decisions on Ukraine without Ukraine," and the partner countries responded to Russia with a firm consolidated position.
"The independence and territorial preservation of Ukraine, as well as NATO's open door policy has never been, and will not be bargained for as Russia wants," Kuleba stressed.
The minister stressed that in parallel with diplomacy, the partner countries are ready to "give a decisive response to the Kremlin" in case of further aggressive actions against Ukraine and security in Europe as a whole.
It should be noted that also at the briefing Dmytro Kuleba said that the general prerequisite for receiving the EU macrofinancial assistance announced the other day in the amount of 1.2 billion euros remains Ukraine's cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
"The European Union has announced a new macrofinancial program for Ukraine in the amount of 1.2 billion euros. I expect that the EU Council and the European Parliament will approve it as soon as possible", - the Minister said.
