French President Emmanuel Macron plans to call Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the coming days. The conversation will concern the threat of Russian invasion of Ukraine. This is reported by the agency La Nacion.
According to an adviser to the French president, Macron plans during the conversation to offer Putin "a way to de-escalate" the situation around Ukraine.
The conversation, according to Macron's adviser, should take place "in the next few days."
The political advisers of the leaders of the Normandy quartet, that is, Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia, are also scheduled to meet in Paris this week. They will talk about the settlement of the conflict in Donbas and also try to bring a new meeting of the leaders of the four states closer.
