The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry commented on the evacuation of diplomats' families

There are 129 embassies and consulates of foreign states on the territory of Ukraine, as well as representative offices of international organizations, only four of which have announced the departure of diplomats' families. This was said in a commentary by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, which was made public on January 24.

As of the evening of January 24, only these four states (the USA, the UK, Australia and Germany) informed the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry of their intentions to evacuate family members and part of their staff or allow them to leave Ukrainian territory voluntarily. The rest of the countries, the European Union, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the UN, NATO and representative offices of other international and regional organizations informed the Foreign Ministry that there were no such plans yet due to the lack of sufficient reasons for such a step.

"It is important that this position is also held by those countries whose diplomatic representations are located in the regions of our state bordering the territory of the Russian Federation," the commentary said.
