Blinken met with Zelensky

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The video of the meeting was published by Channel 24, reports "European Pravda".
Blinken said that he was asked by US President Joe Biden to come to Ukraine to confirm to Ukrainians the support that the US has given to Ukraine and "that now more than ever, everything depends on Ukrainians and no one else to make a decision about their future and the future of their country."
Also, he said, Biden wanted the secretary of state to personally brief Ukrainian partners on the past week of intense diplomacy with Russia and to consult on next steps, including a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday
"We clearly expressed our preference to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict and ensure that the situation is de-escalated. In addition, we told Moscow clearly that if they choose aggression against Ukraine, that aggression will have serious consequences, not only from the United States, but also from Europe and other countries around the world," Blinken said.
"Have completed talks with Secretary Blinken. Appreciate the personal involvement in de-escalating the situation around Ukraine. Grateful for the effective U.S. support. I look forward to strengthening economic and financial cooperation. I am convinced that there will be no decisions about Ukraine without Ukraine", - wrote Zelensky after the meeting.
We shall remind you that speaking to diplomats at the US embassy in Kiev, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin might order an attack as soon as possible.
