Zelensky suggested that Biden organize a trilateral summit with Putin - Yermak

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offered US President Joe Biden to organize trilateral talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. They may take place in the format of an online summit.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the head of the Office of the President Andrei Yermak at the Atlantic Council conference.

According to him, the U.S. is interested in being involved in a peaceful settlement in Donbas, but will continue the bilateral track of negotiations with Moscow.

"Zelensky suggested to Biden - and we think that might make sense - that a three-way meeting, possibly via video conference, be arranged between President Biden, President Zelensky and President Putin. We are still waiting for a response from Russia," he said.

We will remind, earlier, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said that Washington can play a supporting role in the settlement of the conflict in Donbas.

And Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kiev had developed and sent to international partners and Russia an initiative with 10 steps to unblock the peace process in Donbas.
