Turkish presidential envoy Ibrahim Kalin has held a telephone conversation with US Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. The parties, in particular, discussed the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, reports RBC-Ukraine.

"During the phone conversation they discussed political and economic relations and the development of defense cooperation. Within the framework of global and regional issues, there was an exchange of views on the conflict in Ukraine, protests in Kazakhstan, the normalization of the process with Armenia, events in Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ethiopia," the Turkish presidential administration said.

Kalin also told Sullivan about Turkey's readiness to assist by all possible means to the diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. During the conversation, the importance of Turkey's contribution to the protection of the territorial integrity of Ukraine was also emphasized.

We shall remind you that last December, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered to become a mediator between Russia and Ukraine.
