Sergei Pritula plans to register his own political party in 2022

Sergei Pritula, a former candidate for MPs from "Golos" party, TV presenter and showman, plans to register a new political party he heads in 2022.

Sergei Pritula said this in an interview with Radio Liberty.

"The party itself is now somewhat in a virtual state. Of course, we will enter the mode of subjectness and registration of the party in 2022," said Sergei Pritula.

At the same time, according to him, the name of this political force will not be named like "smart politics" or, for example, "Prytula.

"I am a big opponent of combining my last name with the name of the party. And I've never liked name blocs. Exclusively given the possibility of some kind of manipulation later in the elections in the ballots and so on, perhaps the last name will stand somewhere on the side to better identify the party. But the name itself will not contain the words "Prytula" or "near Prytula," promised Sergei Prytula.

The former MP candidate stressed that he is now focused on the parliamentary campaign, while everything else, including the nomination of a presidential candidate, "we will solve as we receive challenges.

Prytula also said that his party structure is developing now.

Recall that at the end of September 2021 the TV host announced plans to create his own political party. Then he stressed that the priorities of the political force will be a parliamentary campaign.

Note, Sergei Pritula appeared in Ukrainian politics in 2019, when he went to the parliamentary elections under number 30 as part of the list of the party "Golos". He did not get into the Verkhovna Rada, but he was the deputy head of the party.

In 2020, the showman decided to run for mayor of Kiev. In the elections Pritula received 7.87% of the vote and took third place.

Pritula left the leadership of "Golos" by the results of the party congress held on January 29, 2021, and in June he announced his withdrawal from the party.
