There will be no more total lockdowns in Ukraine - Shmygal made a statement

The Cabinet of Ministers no longer plans to introduce total lockdowns in Ukraine. Businesses will be able to work in the "red" quarantine zones under the condition of 100% vaccination of employees.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of Prime Minister Denis Shmygal during a government meeting.

"Thanks to the launch of free vaccination, we no longer plan to introduce total lockdowns. Businesses can operate even in red zones if their employees are 100% vaccinated," Shmygal said.

Recall that tomorrow, December 30, Volyn and Zaporizhzhya regions will come out of the "red" quarantine zone. These are the last regions that are in the most severe restrictions.

We should add that the Cabinet of Ministers recently extended the adaptive quarantine in Ukraine until March 31, 2022. Thus, the restrictions will remain in effect for at least the first quarter of next year.
