The Cabinet of Ministers plans to limit the price of domestically produced gas for bakeries at 25 thousand hryvnias per 1 thousand cubic meters. In addition, it is planned to establish that the trade surcharge may not exceed 1%.

This is stated in the draft document, reports RBC-Ukraine.

It is planned that the restrictions will be in force during the quarantine period, but no longer than March 31, 2022.

The document proposed to establish that the price of gas is determined each month as the arithmetic average of quotes on the stock exchanges, but shall not exceed 25 thousand hryvnia per thousand cubic meters (including VAT).

According to the draft decree, a trade surcharge for natural gas supply of own production for bakers is set at a level not higher than one percent.

As a reminder, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that the Ukrainian government is developing mechanisms to support bakers and producers of social foods in connection with a significant increase in gas prices. Also, the possibility of establishing maximum mark-ups on social products is being considered.
