Ukraine has reached a record level of business lending - Shmygal

In Ukraine in 2021, three times more funds have been issued within the framework of concessional lending than in 2020. 30 thousand businesses from different regions of Ukraine have received a cheap resource for the development of their own business.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

"This year we have reached record levels of lending for small and medium-sized businesses. Under the presidential program "5-7-9%" in 2021, about 65 billion UAH of available loans were issued. Another 7 billion UAH was issued under another program - "portfolio guarantees from the state". The total volume of soft loans programs this year is more than three times higher than last year", - said Shmygal.

He stressed that "30 thousand businesses from different regions and industries have received a cheap resource for the development and support of their own business.

In addition, the Prime Minister also announced the launch of several other tools for small and medium-sized businesses next year.

"In order not to slow down next year, we're launching several more tools for small and medium-sized businesses. This is a new program of financial leasing, and a combination of state and regional lending programs to further reduce rates, "- explained Shmygal.

It should be noted that the program "Affordable loans 5-7-9%" for small and medium business was launched in Ukraine in February 2020. Its partners are more than 30 banks.

The program provides for the creation of conditions for cheaper and more accessible credit by compensating the interest rate up to 5%, 7% and 9% per annum on loans in national currency, as well as the provision of partial guarantees.

Also, the Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the range of participants in the program "Affordable credits 5-7-9%" to include individual entrepreneurs with an annual income of up to 50 million UAH.
