Russia is ready to hold consultations with NATO and has already passed its proposals on the development of legal security guarantees for Moscow. Sergey Ryabkov, deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, will conduct the talks on the Russian side.
Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing Vedomosti.
Peskov said that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov will lead the negotiations from the Russian side.
"He will be ready at any moment to fly to any neutral country to start negotiations," the Kremlin spokesman said.
At the same time, Peskov specified that Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov gave US presidential adviser Jake Sullivan a clarification on the security guarantees, which were given to the American side through diplomatic channels on December 15.
According to Peskov, Sullivan had also been told that he was ready to start negotiating these documents without any delay.
Let us recall that NATO Secretary General said that the North Atlantic Alliance is preparing a new strategic concept because of the change in Russia's behavior.
Note that Jens Stoltenberg stated the need for dialogue between Russia and NATO. He said that Moscow would be invited to the meeting.
