The Cabinet of Ministers introduces a mechanism of pension savings for employees of companies - objects of big privatization, reports UNIAN.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal wrote about it in Facebook.
According to him, gradually introducing a funded pension in Ukraine.
"This week, the government introduced a mechanism of pension savings for employees of objects of big privatization. Future owners of such enterprises will have to pay to private pension funds cumulative contributions for at least half of the employees. The amount of such contributions should not be less than 4% of salary. This will be another step to the introduction of the cumulative level of the pension system for all Ukrainians", - wrote Shmygal.
He expressed the belief that the Verkhovna Rada will support the bill.
We shall remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers planned to start introducing the cumulative pension system in Ukraine in 2021.
Prime Minister Shmygal said that the launch of the cumulative pension system in Ukraine in the next 10-15 years will attract an investment resource of up to 50 billion dollars.
In July this year, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the National Commission on Securities and Stock Market as a licensing body in the funded pension system.
On August 3, 2021, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced that Ukraine plans to introduce social packages with funded pensions starting in 2023.
On August 17, 2021, the project of launching the funded pension was made public.
On 15 November, Social Policy Minister Maryna Lazebnya said that the introduction of mandatory funded pensions may start in 2024 if the parliament adopts a relevant draft law by the end of this year.
