By the end of this year in Ukraine borsch set vegetables will go up in price by 20-30%. This opinion was expressed by the executive director of the "Economic Discussion Club" Oleg Pendzin in a comment to journalists.
"There will be an increase in prices for borsch set. We usually have a 40-50% difference between summer and winter prices. So I think that by the end of the year the borsch set will increase in price by 20-30%," said Pendzin.
According to him, the cheapest products will become more expensive, because they are now in high demand among Ukrainians.
"On December 1, we will get more than 500 hryvnias to the minimum wage. Employers will not raise it out of their own pockets. Therefore, all this will go into the price of goods. On the one hand we will have an increase in demand, and on the other hand - an increase in production costs.
That's why December will be a month of rising prices. Before the holidays, as a rule, there is a rush demand, especially for food group," said Pendzin.
It is worth mentioning that consumer prices in Ukraine rose by 10.9 per cent year-on-year in October this year, dropping below the 11 per cent rise of the previous month.
