Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a telephone conversation with Polish President Andrzej Duda.

Volodymyr Zielenski informed Andrzej Duda about the developments in the security situation in the east of our state and the steps taken by the Ukrainian side to intensify the work of all the negotiating formats in order to achieve peace, the official website of the Ukrainian president has reported.

The President of Ukraine stressed the need to maintain the sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation by the international community until the full restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.

Special attention was paid to the coordination of the positions of the parties to counter the Nord Stream-2 project.

The heads of Ukrainian and Polish states were unanimous in their assessments of Nord Stream-2, first of all, as a security threat to all of Europe.

"This is a strategic weapon in the hands of Russia," said Vladimir Zelenski and added that effective counteraction to such pressure requires unity of the EU and partners as well as appropriate sanctions restrictions.

The president of Ukraine separately raised the issue of regulating the granting of permits for Ukrainian road freight carriers.

Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Polish side for its unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.
