This weekend, Kukkiwon Center President Lee Dong Seop visited Trump at his home in Mar-a-lago in Palm Beach, Florida, to present him with his coveted belt.

He was presented with an honorary certificate of ninth dan, the highest level in the sport.

"I've heard that Donald Trump is very interested in taekwondo," Lee noted.

"I am honored and pleased to receive this honorary certificate. Taekwondo is a great martial art to protect yourself these days," the former president commented on the pleasant surprise .

The former U.S. president said that he would wear a taekwondo suit to the U.S. Congress if he returned to the White House in the future.
