Police in the Netherlands have detained eight more participants in the anti-quarantine protest in Rotterdam, which turned into riots. This is reported by the UNN with reference to the NOS.

"Law enforcers have updated information about the detainees after the riots in Rotterdam. Another eight people are in custody. They are charged with, among other things, vandalism, violence, display of aggression. They will be brought before an investigating judge next week. In total, according to law enforcement officials, 49 people have been arrested", - stated in the report.

Law enforcement officials are reportedly continuing to review hours of surveillance footage of the protests.

The day before, police in Rotterdam reported 51 detainees, about half of whom are minors. Some were released and temporarily banned from the center of Rotterdam.

Also the Prosecutor's Office reported that four people were injured by gunshot wounds. However, law enforcement officials have once again noted that no one was killed during the clashes.

The National Bureau of Investigation is checking the actions of the police, in particular, the legality of the use of weapons.
