The North Atlantic Alliance of NATO can deploy nuclear weapons in Eastern Europe. But under the condition that Germany will refuse to deploy it on its territory.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the NATO Talk 2021 conference in Berlin.
"Of course, Germany can decide whether there should be nuclear weapons on its territory, but the alternative is nuclear weapons in other European countries, including east of Germany," he said.
Stoltenberg previously said that Russia was building up nuclear capabilities and undermining key agreements with NATO.
