British Prime Minister Boris Johnson believes a Russian invasion of Ukraine would be a "tragic mistake." Johnson said this on Wednesday while speaking to British parliamentarians.
Johnson was responding to a question about what else Britain needs to do to protect Poland and Ukraine from Russia.
According to the British prime minister, these are two different cases because Poland has a security guarantee from NATO and Ukraine does not. But it is important that all sides understand the cost of miscalculation on the border.
"I think it would be a tragic, tragic mistake on the part of the Kremlin to believe that military adventurism can win something," the British prime minister said.
As a reminder, Johnson earlier warned European countries that they would soon have to choose between buying more and more energy from Russia or supporting Ukraine, peace and stability.
