President Vladimir Zelenski discussed with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the European Union's assistance to Ukraine in equipping the border with Belarus, Liga.net reported.
This was reported by the Office of the President after a telephone conversation between Zielenski and von der Leyen. As noted, the parties discussed the aggravation of the situation on the European-Belarusian and Ukrainian-Belarusian borders and stated that this situation is a hybrid attack, which requires joint efforts and cooperation.
The President informed the Head of the European Commission about the steps Ukraine was taking to strengthen security on its border with Belarus. In this context, they discussed ways to expand cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the migration sphere and possibilities for attracting EU assistance for the management of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
