Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova has arrived in Georgia and talked to journalists. She said that she intends to visit Ukrainian citizen, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Reforms of Ukraine Mikhail Saakashvili in the penitentiary institution #18 in Gldani.
Denisova has already sent all the necessary statements to the Minister of Justice, but has not yet received a response.
"We immediately send any information about Mikheil Saakashvili to the Presidential Administration, human rights organizations and international organizations... I must get detailed information about Mikheil Saakashvili's state of health from lawyers and doctors," Liudmila Denisova said.
The ombudsman noted that the made public videos of ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili's transfer to a prison hospital could be qualified as torture.
