3.13 million cases of coronavirus disease were reported in the country. Last week, on 9 October, 23,283 cases of the disease were detected. A total of 5.7 thousand people are in hospital beds. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports.
"During the morning of 9 October 2021, Ukraine recorded 23,283 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease COVID - 19", - announced the Ministry of Health.
Also on 9 February:
- 267,401 people were vaccinated against coronavirus.
- 150 663 of them received single shot,
- 116 738 persons received the whole course of vaccination.
On 9 February, 5696 patients (91.1% of them unvaccinated) were placed in hospital beds, 816 died and 16,277 were deflated.
During the entire period of the pandemic in Ukraine:
- 3 130 772 people were infected; 2 553 842 people were treated;
- 2 553 842 people died;
- 14999766 PLR tests were performed.
On 9 October, 1,539 children and 529 health workers contracted coronavirus infection.
The Dnipropetrovsk region is leading in the number of COVID-19 cases (1,792 cases). Kyiv is second (1740), followed by Kharkiv (1719), Poltava (1591) and Odessa (1516) regions.
According to Worldometer, which monitors the world situation with coronaviruses, Ukraine ranks 16th for disease prevalence and 16th for mortality due to COVID-19.
