France and Germany proposed holding a meeting of the Normandy format foreign ministers on November 11. Russia rejected this proposal. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday, November 8, according to Korrespondent.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted that on October 29 Russia sent its vision of what a draft final document of the Normandy format could look like to the participants of the Normandy format, but has not yet received a response.
We recall that in late October, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian proposed holding a meeting on November 11.
"I told him that we would like to get the reaction of our colleagues to the proposals. Nevertheless, the other day we again received a joint message from the foreign ministers of Germany and France, in which November 11 is designated as an almost non-alternative date. We sent additional arguments to deal with not planning events for a tick, and listed Kiev's steps to torpedo the Minsk agreements," Lavrov said.
We note that the day before, the Office of the President questioned the further work of the Normandy format due to the inability to organize a meeting.
