The first vice-speaker of the parliament Alexander Kornienko decided to resign as head of the party "Servant of the People" and has already written a statement to this effect. As explained by the politician himself, he wants to focus on the reform of the Verkhovna Rada and the tasks set by the President. Kornienko assures that he remains a member of the party.
Who will lead the "Servant of the People" instead of him will be decided in November at a party congress in Kiev, said the speaker of the political force Yulia Paliychuk.
She did not name the exact date.
Recall that on October 19, the Rada voted for the appointment of an MP from the "Servant of the People" faction Alexander Kornienko first deputy speaker of parliament.
He replaced Ruslan Stefanchuk, who was elected new speaker of parliament on 8 October.
