During a working trip to Donetsk region, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal inspected the progress of the overhaul of the second Donetsk water pipeline in Slovyansk district.
Head of the Government stressed that it is necessary to improve the quality of drinking water in Ukraine, so the Cabinet of Ministers in April this year approved the concept of the nationwide target programme "Drinking Water of Ukraine. This is reported by the Government Portal.
"In the draft budget for 2022 it is planned to allocate 1 billion UAH for the program "Drinking Water of Ukraine". A significant percentage of centralized water supply systems in the regions have a worn-out state, which badly affects the quality of water. The situation has to be changed in order to provide communities with high-quality drinking water in sufficient quantity," - said Denis Shmigal.
It is expected that repair work on the second Donetsk water pipeline will be completed in April 2022. This will improve the quality of centralized drinking water supply services to the population of the cities of Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka and other settlements of Slavyansk and Konstantinovsky districts.
The State Regional Development Fund allocated UAH 102.2 million in 2020 and UAH 71.8 million in 2021 for the repair of the water pipeline section. In addition, 11.3 million UAH was allocated from the regional budget for this project in 2020 and 7.9 million UAH this year. - this year.
