Ukraine has already registered 2.78 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, an increase of more than 14.6 thousand a day on October 24. There were 999 children and 173 health workers out of 24 hours sick.
Within a day there were 3.9 thousand people hospitalized, which is less than the day before. This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
«During the day on October 24, 14,634 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease were recorded in Ukraine,» the Ministry of Health reported.
Also in the past 24 hours:
- Hospitalized – 3,912 people;
- Fatal cases – 330;
- 4,598 people recovered.
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- Fallen ill – 2,784,039 people;
- 2,380,374 people recovered;
- 64 202 deaths;
- 14,021,250 PCR tests were conducted.
The highest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kharkiv (1687), Odessa (1262), Dnipropetrovsk (1065), Zhytomyr (1042) and Zaporizhzhya (1037) regions.
It also became known that last week over 1.5 million vaccinations were given. A full course of vaccinations against coronavirus disease COVID-19 has been given to nearly 7 million people in Ukraine since late February. At the same time, a total of almost 16 million vaccinations have already been given, of which 101 thousand were administered during the last day, most of them by the first dose.
«On October 24, 101,331 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine. A single dose was given to 75,240 people, and 26,091 people were fully immunized,» the Ministry of Health reported.
