Former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili illegally entered the country while in a truck with dairy products. Investigation has reconstructed the route of his movement through the country before his detention.

It is reported that today the prosecutor's office issued a ruling charging Saakashvili with illegally crossing the state border of Georgia.
According to investigators, in the evening of September 28, a ship called «Vilnius», which was coming from the Ukrainian Chernomorsk, entered the port of Poti. On the night of September 29th a SCANIA truck loaded with milk products and belonging to the company IKA TRANS Ltd. Departed from that ship. In the waiting area before checking in, Saakashvili, according to the prosecutor's office, moved from the trailer to the cabin, bypassing customs and border control.
«The presence of Mikhail Saakashvili in the said trailer, where there were dairy products, is confirmed by video footage taken from his phone,» the report says.
After the truck left the port area, Saakashvili got into a Mercedes car and drove to the village of Tkviri in Abashin region. In the afternoon of September 29, he took a minibus to Batumi, and in the evening he went to Tbilisi on a trailer SCANIA.
«Investigative and procedural actions were carried out on the criminal case. The exact route of Mikhail Saakashvili's entry and movement in Georgia has been established, hundreds of videos from 112 surveillance cameras, as well as surveillance cameras of private companies have been studied,» the prosecutor's office noted.
