The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that methadone was in the blood of People's Deputy Polyakov

The Ministry of Internal Affairs told about the results of the toxicological examination of the body of the People's Deputy Anton Polyakov, who was found dead on October 8 in Kyiv. The spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Artem Shevchenko reported about it.

According to him, the examination data show that in addition to the dose of alcohol in Polyakov's blood, methadone was found. Shevchenko stressed that it is unknown when the substance entered the body of the deceased and how it could directly affect his death, as this requires more in-depth research. The investigation is now considering two versions – either it was the criminal nature of the death, or natural. That is, Polyakov himself could take methadone, which became a possible cause of death or he was poisoned.
