Nearly 9,000 people became infected with COVID-19 in a day, 16 oblasts could become «orange zones»

As of Sunday, October 10, 8,832 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus were registered in Ukraine. A total of 2.55 million patients have been registered to date.

Of the registered patients for the past day: 863 children and 78 medical workers.

More than 2.6 thousand people were hospitalized per day, which is less than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

«For the day of October 10, 2021 in Ukraine recorded 8832 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19,» - said in a statement.

Also in the message on Facebook it is noted that «for the last days»:

2672 people were hospitalized,

fatal cases – 207,

2053 people recovered.

Tested:

 by PCR – 23 675 people,

by ELISA – 3480 people,

by rapid tests – 24 909 people.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

 people fell ill – 2,550,089;

 recovered – 2,292,480;

deaths – 58,700,

PCR tests – 13,277,259.

Note also that according to the Ministry of Health, for the last day the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kharkiv (1419), Dnipropetrovsk (765), Odessa (690), Zaporizhia (687) and Zhytomyr (510) regions.

It also became known that 16 areas due to the increased dynamics of hospitalizations with COVID-19, the occupancy of beds with oxygen and a high detection rate of infections correspond to the «orange» zone of epidemic danger.

According to the Ministry of Health, as of October 11, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Volyn, Zaporizhia, Luhansk, Lviv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernivtsi, Donetsk, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and Khmelnytsky region are responsible for the «orange» zone of epidemic danger.
