In August, the production of bakery products increased by 1.3%, or 0.817 thousand tons compared to July to 64,841 thousand tons. This was reported by the State Statistics Service.
In August 2021, compared to August 2020, the production of bakery products decreased by 1.6%, or 1,054 thousand tons.
In January-August 2021, compared with January-August 2020, the production of bakery products decreased by 2.5%, or 13,020 thousand tons to 507,763 thousand tons. Data excluding Crimea and Sevastopol.
As previously reported, bakery production increased by 2.5% in July, or 1,570 thousand tons compared to June to 64,024.
In 2020, compared to 2019, the production of bakery products decreased by 12.5%, or 107,192 thousand tons to 750,347 thousand tons.
In January-July 2021, Ukraine increased imports of agri-food products by 19.4% to $ 4.2 billion, exports - by 6.7% to $ 12.5 billion compared to the same period in 2020.
Also, exports of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU increased by 10% in 7 months.
