Ukraine will receive a new military aid package from Spain, which will include Leopard tanks and ammunition. This was stated by Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles, the press service of the country's defense ministry reports.
Robles said that, among other things, the Armed Forces will receive a new batch of Leopard tanks by the end of June. Spain will also transfer 155-mm artillery, a new batch of Patriot anti-aircraft missiles and systems to combat drones. Ukrainian defenders will also receive optoelectronic surveillance and tracking systems, as well as remotely controlled turrets.
She noted that the delivery should take place at the end of June.
In the future, it is planned that Spain will sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine, but this will be in the long term.
