Ukraine needs two Patriot systems to protect Kharkiv and the region. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
“We really need two Patriots for Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region today, because people are constantly suffering from shelling, from Russian missiles,” he said.
In addition, Zelensky called for the acceleration of the delivery of American aid.
“What I think is important for both sides is, first of all, the decision on the military aid package - we need to deliver this military aid as soon as possible. It is about air defense, first of all. This is the biggest problem for us,” the president said.
Zelensky also emphasized that it is important for the country the participation of US President Joseph Biden in the Peace Summit.
“The Peace Summit is extremely important for us. We need not only the United States to participate, but also President Biden himself,” the head of state said.
