The Russian army managed to gain a foothold in Ocheretyne in the Avdiivka direction. This was reported by Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops, during a telethon.
“The situation is such that the enemy managed to break through and gain a foothold in this settlement. One part that is under enemy control is under our fire control. We are taking measures to drive them out of there. Heavy fighting is going on there, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are controlling the situation,” Voloshyn said.
He said that Ukraine has moved reserves to the area. According to him, Russia has achieved “certain tactical successes, but has not gained an operational advantage.”
