US President Joe Biden has expressed his readiness to sign the bill on aid to Ukraine and Israel "immediately" after it is approved by US lawmakers, the White House website reports.
"I strongly support this package to provide important support to Israel and Ukraine, provide much-needed humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza, and strengthen security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region," the statement reads.
Biden emphasized that Israel has faced serious attacks from Iran, and Ukraine continues to be bombed by Russia, which has significantly increased over the past month.
"The House should pass the package this week, and the Senate should follow quickly. I will sign this legislation immediately to send a message to the world: we stand with our friends and will not allow Iran or Russia to succeed," the American president said.
