Trump considers visit to Ukraine inappropriate - Reuters

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump believes that it is inappropriate for him to visit Ukraine now, as he does not hold an official position. Reuters reports this with reference to the press service of the former US president.

As a reminder, in an interview with Axel Springer, Zelensky called on Trump to visit Kyiv in order to hear the ideas of the former US president on ending the war in Ukraine.

Representatives of Trump's campaign said that Zelensky had no official contacts with the former US president.

"There has been no contact from Zelensky, and President Trump has publicly stated that it would be inappropriate for him to go to Ukraine now because he is not the commander-in-chief," the publication quoted a statement from Trump's campaign headquarters.
