BILD: Russian troops use double-strike tactics during assaults on Chasiv Yar

Russian troops are using a double-strike tactic in the assault on Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. This was reported by Julian Röpke, an analyst at the German publication BILD.

The expert studied the maneuvers of the Russian Armed Forces near Chasiv Yar over the past 10 days. According to him, Russia has used the double-push tactic before when capturing Ukrainian cities and villages. It consists in bypassing the enemy's positions from the flanks and simultaneously launching a direct frontal attack.

"In the battle for Chasiv Yar, Russian invasion forces are trying to implement their successful (Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Novomykhailivka, etc.) double strike tactics: pincers from the north and south plus a direct assault on the city from the east," Röpke writes.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian analytical resource Deep State reports that the Russian army has made significant progress towards Chasiv Yar in the Bakhmut direction. Namely, in Bohdanivka and from the direction of Ivanivske.

Ukraine did not confirm this information.
