On Tuesday, April 9, searches were conducted on the territory of Ukraine and Poland as part of the case of possible procurement of weapons at inflated prices in April 2022 - February 2023. This was reported by the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
"Investigative actions are aimed at investigating the supply chain of foreign weapons and verifying information on the possible artificial overstatement of its value through the participation of intermediary companies registered outside Ukraine," the statement said.
It is noted that the joint investigative actions were made possible through the cooperation of the NABU and the SAPO with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Criminal Terrorism and Homicide Department of the Capital Police Department of the Republic of Poland within the framework of the international legal assistance mechanism.
The collected evidence will be used by NABU detectives to provide a legal assessment of the officials' actions. The investigation is ongoing.
The current leadership of the Ministry of Defense is actively assisting the National Bureau in the investigation of the criminal proceedings.
