On the night of April 9, Russian troops attacked the regions of Ukraine with 20 Shahed-131/136 attack drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down all of them, said Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the air battle, all 20 Shaheds were shot down in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia and Lviv regions.
According to Oleshchuk, Russia also attacked with four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from Donetsk region.
Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units and EW units of the Air Force, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
