US President Joe Biden demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu immediately ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the White House following a conversation between the two leaders.

The American president made it clear that further US policy on the conflict will depend on Israel's immediate actions to provide humanitarian aid and protect civilians.

For his part, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington could change its policy toward Israel, CNN reported.

According to the American official, if Washington does not see changes in Israel's policy regarding the protection of civilians in Gaza, "there will be changes in our own policy."

Blinken's statement was made after a telephone conversation between US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to CNN, this may be the "clearest evidence" that the US administration is "losing patience in relations with the Israeli government amidst the huge humanitarian casualties".
