Ukraine plans to simplify and increase the production of all types of drones this year. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky following a meeting with the military.
"We have updated and detailed production plans for the current year for all types of drones: FPVs, bombers, reconnaissance drones, as well as long-range drones for special missions," the President said.
The meeting discussed how to ensure the flexibility of the Ukrainian defense industry. The President noted that the needs of the frontline are constantly changing, so drone manufacturers must respond to them in a timely manner.
"Important decisions include simplifying the procurement procedure, importing components, increasing the production of shells for drones and training operators," Zelensky said.
The meeting discussed a project to build an integrated electronic warfare management system to protect Ukrainian military and equipment from Russian drones.
Zelensky said that this system is already being tested in certain directions. However, it is planned to scale the project to the entire front.
