Norway is preparing to train Ukrainian marines: what is known

Norway will start training Ukrainian marines in small boat operations this spring. This training is the first step in the work of the Maritime Coalition, which Norway leads together with the United Kingdom. This was reported by the press service of the Norwegian Ministry of Defense.

Initially, the training will last about a year and will begin in the Netherlands in cooperation with allied countries.

In addition to training, Norway will provide inflatable boats and equipment worth about NOK 60 million.

"Norway has developed good relations with the Ukrainian Marines through training in Norway, and now we are developing this cooperation further and creating a special training program," said Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.
