Russian troops are entering the outskirts of Avdiivka, they are trying to surround the city. This was reported by Vitaliy Barabash, head of the Avdiivka CMA, during a telethon.

"The situation is not simple, it is very complicated. The enemy is trying to implement its plans to surround the city and flank it from the south and north... our guys see and are working on these moments to cut off the coke plant from the city. The enemy is still trying to cut off the coke plant through the dacha area and is pushing very hard," he said.

Barabash confirmed that Russian troops are entering the outskirts of Avdiivka and are in the private sector.

"Yes, unfortunately, there is such (information). But the guys are bravely holding them back, repelling them. The enemy forces are many times bigger. Sometimes I read Telegram channels that 'Avdiivka has already fallen'. This is definitely not the case. If someone says this, it is first of all disrespectful to the defenders who protect this city. They know that this is not true... It's still far from being a complete loss," said the head of the CMA.

According to him, 935 residents remain in Avdiivka, evacuation is complicated due to constant hostilities and shelling. Six people were evacuated yesterday.
