Sweden considers the possibility of providing Ukraine with Gripen aircraft, but is limited by accession to NATO

Sweden does not rule out providing Ukraine with Gripen aircraft, but the adoption of the relevant decision is connected with the Kingdom's accession to NATO. This was announced by Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström.

It is noted that Sweden is considering the possibility of transferring Gripen aircraft to Ukraine, but such a decision is linked to the country's accession to NATO.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson also supported this idea, noting that "we do not rule anything out."

However, the decision on the transfer of the aircraft also depends on the time of Sweden's accession to NATO, and requires the creation of a special commission to take into account Sweden's security.
